OKAT Decoded: the complete question bank

How to get the most from a mock

  • Take it timed and in one sitting, about one minute per question, as in the real exam.
  • Read the explanation for every question, including the ones you got right: most exam traps sit in the wrong options.
  • Use the topic breakdown to choose what to revise, then retake the test a week later.

Short quizzes also appear at the end of many articles (look for "Test yourself"). For quick reference while revising, use the Clinic Desk Reference cards and the Learning Dashboard. Exam guides: AIOS-OKAT and OKAP, FRCOphth and ICO.

All questions are original. They are not taken from any past examination paper, and these tests are not affiliated with AIOS, NBEMS, AIIMS, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the ICO or the AAO.
