Cashless Eye Treatment Facilities

Sadbhaav Eye & Dental Clinic supports cashless treatment for eye care through our empanelled insurance providers and Third Party Administrators (TPAs), so eligible patients can access care without paying the full cost upfront.

What about dental treatment?

Being upfront about this: at present, dental treatment in India generally isn't covered by cashless or reimbursement mediclaim facilities. This isn't specific to Sadbhaav — it reflects the broader Indian health insurance market, where standard policies are built around hospitalisation for medical and surgical procedures, and routine dental care typically falls outside that scope. If your specific policy includes a dental rider or you're covered under a corporate group policy with dental benefits, it's worth checking directly with your insurer, but this isn't something we can offer as a standard cashless facility the way we can for eye care.

How cashless treatment works

With a cashless facility, your insurer or TPA settles the eligible treatment cost directly with us, rather than you paying in full and claiming reimbursement afterward. This is always subject to your specific policy's terms, sum insured, and pre-authorisation approval — not every procedure or policy automatically qualifies, so it's genuinely worth confirming your specific coverage with us before treatment.

Cashless vs. Reimbursement — an honest comparison

Both options exist for good reason, but they work differently, and it's worth understanding the real trade-offs rather than assuming cashless is automatically the better choice.

  • Network restriction: Cashless treatment is only available at hospitals and clinics empanelled with your specific insurer or TPA. Reimbursement has no such restriction — you can be treated anywhere, then claim afterward.
  • Lens and treatment choice: Cashless approval happens through real-time pre-authorisation, and insurers tend to be conservative about what they approve upfront — commonly limiting IOL coverage to standard monofocal lenses. If you want a premium lens (multifocal, EDOF, or trifocal), you're often expected to pay the difference on the spot under cashless. With reimbursement, you choose your treatment and lens first, without that real-time gatekeeping, and file the claim afterward against your policy's actual terms.
  • Amount caps: Many policies apply per-eye sub-limits (commonly ₹30,000–50,000 for cataract surgery in India) regardless of claim method — but these limits are applied more rigidly during real-time cashless authorisation, whereas a reimbursement claim is assessed as a complete case against your policy after treatment.
  • Convenience: Cashless genuinely wins here — no large upfront payment, and less paperwork at the time of treatment. Reimbursement requires you to pay first and submit documentation afterward, which takes more effort.

Our honest recommendation: if getting your preferred treatment and lens choice matters more to you than upfront convenience, reimbursement often gives you genuinely more freedom — you're not constrained by what a TPA is willing to pre-approve in the moment. If minimising upfront cost and paperwork matters most, and a standard lens is acceptable to you, cashless remains a solid, simpler option. Either way, we're happy to help with the paperwork.

Insurance Companies We're Empanelled With

Third Party Administrators (TPAs) We Work With

A TPA processes and settles cashless claims on behalf of your insurer. We're empanelled with:

What to bring for a cashless claim

Generally, you'll need your insurance card or policy number, a valid photo ID, and any prior medical records relevant to your treatment. Our team will guide you through the specific pre-authorisation paperwork your insurer or TPA requires.

A few honest notes

Cashless approval and processing times depend on your insurer or TPA, not on us — we submit the required documentation promptly, but final approval timing is genuinely outside our control. If your specific insurer or TPA isn't listed here, we're still happy to help you file a reimbursement claim after treatment; just ask our team.

Confirm your specific coverage

Insurance empanelment can change, and individual policy coverage varies significantly even within the same insurer. Please call us directly to confirm your specific policy's cashless eligibility before your visit.
