Started to Provide Best Eye & Dental Care to the Community

We started Sadbhaav Eye & Dental Clinic in 2017 with 7 years of experience in the eye & dental field. From the start, we received a tremendous positive response from the local community for the facilities we provide.

Our purpose was to provide the best possible care at a very reasonable cost to the community, while remaining the most ethical in all the care we provide. We hold a strong determination to the "Do No Harm" ethics code for our patients.

Our doctors are well known for their kind, polite, and cooperative nature. Our staff is always ready to serve our patients.

Where are we located?

We are located in the most happening and newly developed area of Ahmedabad — Motera, known as the peripheral heart of Ahmedabad. Our patients come from many nearby areas like Chandkheda, Sabarmati, Visat, Zundal, Tragad, Adalaj, Bhat, Koteshwar, Sughad, and many other regions of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

First AIIMS Graduate Ophthalmologist of Gujarat

Dr. Dhaval Patel is a young and dynamic eye surgeon in Motera, Ahmedabad. His native place is Kalol, a small town near Ahmedabad, Gujarat, but he was born and brought up in Vadodara, where he completed his schooling and MBBS.

After completing his MBBS at Baroda Medical College in 2010, he joined the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi in 2011 for his ophthalmology residency. The Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences (RPCOS, AIIMS) has been recognized as the apex organisation by the Government of India under the National Programme for the Control of Blindness. On completing his residency at AIIMS, he joined Centre for Sight, Vadodara in 2014 as a cataract & refractive (LASIK) surgeon.

He worked at Centre for Sight for 3 years, performing more than 2,500 phacoemulsification surgeries and more than 500 LASIK surgeries. Based on his precise surgical skills and interest in teaching, he was appointed Phaco Trainer at Centre for Sight and has trained more than 35 young doctors from India and abroad. His special interests include complex anterior segment surgeries, pterygium surgery with diamond burr, keratoconus management, glaucoma management, and neuro-ophthalmology.

He started "Sadbhaav Eye & Dental Clinic" along with his wife Dr. Dhara Patel in Motera, Ahmedabad in July 2017. He is well known among ophthalmology residents across India and abroad for his post-graduate study materials — "I-notes, Ophthalmonics and Ophthalmology Explorer" — widely available as ebooks and Kindle books. His blog "RPC Rounds" is a favorite destination for ophthalmology residents, and he is one of the few AIIMS-trained ophthalmologists practicing in Gujarat, and currently the only one practicing in Ahmedabad.

Research & Publications

Dr. Patel has 28 publications and over 38 citations on ResearchGate, spanning peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers. His research on donor cornea preservation — "Study of death to preservation time and its impact on utilisation of donor corneas" — was published in Tropical Doctor alongside senior AIIMS faculty, and his work on retinal detachment management was published in the Saudi Journal of Ophthalmology. He was awarded the NRCOP-CFS Ophthalmic Pathology Online Quiz (Hyderabad, 2013) and the Delhi Ophthalmology Society KBC Quiz (2012).

Endodontist Specializing in Root Canal & Restorative Dentistry

Dr. Dhara Patel is a young and energetic endodontist practicing in Motera, Ahmedabad, with a specific focus on root canal treatment and restorative dentistry. Her native place is Vavol, a small village near Gandhinagar, where she was born and raised and completed her schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya before setting out on the long academic path toward becoming a dental specialist.

She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at Karnavati School of Dentistry (KSD) in 2011, and went on to pursue further specialization with an MDS in Endodontics from Ahmedabad Dental College (ADC), completing it in 2016 — a postgraduate degree that trained her specifically in the diagnosis and treatment of problems inside the tooth, the root canal system in particular.

Experience Before Sadbhaav

Rather than starting her own practice straight after her MDS, Dr. Dhara Patel first joined Meera Dental Clinic in Vadodara, where she deliberately built up hands-on experience in endodontics and restorative dentistry. In that time, she personally performed more than 700 root canal treatments — a substantial volume that gave her real, repeated exposure to the full range of cases a root canal specialist encounters, long before she ever treated a patient at her own clinic.

In July 2017, she joined her husband, Dr. Dhaval Patel, to start their own practice, "Sadbhaav Eye & Dental Clinic," in Motera, Ahmedabad. Since then, she has continued to focus on root canal treatment and restorative dentistry as her core areas of practice, alongside general dental care for the clinic's patients.
